Somewhere I Belong

Terraria's developer studio 505 Games did not shy away from ridiculous combinations.

Terraria is one of those games you can spend hundreds of hours exploring, crafting new items and making your digital avatar more awesome. It is a 2D game about resource gathering, mostly via mining and slaying of enemies, with the goal of crafting new equipment to explore more dangerous places and slay stronger enemies. This results in an exquisitely satisfying loop of never-ending, unicorn-riding, laser-shooting, zombie-slaying epicness, which occupies place #84 in my Top 100 list. Today I wish to tell you some of the stories I shared with the flat mate that introduced me to this amazing game.

The Gathering

Mega Man 2 is part of a long-living franchise of Japanese 2-D action games produced by Capcom that has become an absolute icon of gaming.

Mega Man 2 is a classic cult game, an early inspiration for gamers and game developers. Among its strengths we can count its bombastic music, creative and intricate levels, unforgettable character design, a weapon system that functioned as a beautiful puzzle and of course its tight and challenging action-packed gameplay. For these reasons it occupies spot #85 on my Top 100 list. Today I tell you a story of how I beat the game in a single night and of the dear friend of mine that was there watching me play it.

Flat Mates Part 2

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tune is a rhythm game starring a virtual super-star anime girl.

Staying up all night and sleeping all day, getting drunk until dropping unconscious, gaming, hanging around or going out to eat burgers, while being broke and all crammed into a tiny flat and forced to interact daily with the other students living there. That is the life I had for over 5 years. To be honest, I kind of miss it. Today's story is about the two flat mates I lived with for the longest time and who watched me play game #86 in my Top 100 list: Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone.

The Struggle

Bloodborne is a bloody, dark and brutally difficult action role-playing game from Japanese developer From Software.

Sometimes life is hard. You must fight for your goals even when it seems hopeless and frustration rises. Games from Japanese developer From Software are similar to real life in this regard. This week I would like to tell you about one of their games named Bloodborne, which is at position #87 of my Top 100 list, and one time when I got very frustrated in my own life as well.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is probably the most famous and beloved game in its series. This thrilling adventure through the cursed castle of Count Dracula is a masterpiece in execution of the Metroidvania genre.

At night our deepest fears come to surface and unknown terrors threaten to jump from the shadows. Against the greatest evil, the Lord of Darkness, only another creature of the night, his son Alucard, can make a stand and save the world. On this article I would like to relate my experience with game #88 in my list, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, as well as a story of mine which happened after dusk.
